Liverwort
- Liverwort has a prostrate, flattened thallus.
- The small circular structures on the thallus are gemma cups which produce asexual gemmae – these are like a ‘bud’ that can detach from the parent liverwort and form a new plant;
- are found in deep shade, in moist soil.

- A small fern (<10 cm high);
- found mainly on the eastern side of Rocky Hill, when it is shaded by rock overhangs.
